If I have to go do something that is too far to walk or bike to, I park my car as far away as I can from my destination. Like parking my car at the far end of the parking lot on the opposite end of the mall. Things like that.<br /><br />On of our daughters her husband have something like a Body Bugg that they wear all the time. It comes with a built in port to plug it into their phones and/or computer to download info. It also transmits the info to each other's phones! My wife and I were thinking about getting them. Several years ago, I used to use a website called "MyFit" that pretty much did the same thing. Of course, EVERYTHING had to be manually entered. Strengthening programs, especially as we move through the years, are worth their weight in gold. Another are programs that help with balance.<br /><br />I don't think I could so anything outdoors for a long time in your climate! We just did a 5 k run with our students today and it was such a gorgeous day. What you wrote makes me more thankful for that. And flexible and limber is what we should be striving for. I say I ...Dear Shelly, I don't do any exercise. I say I want to, but I don't. Today however I did follow a 23-minute upper body DVD exercise program for people over 50. I had to stop several times because my arms are so weak, but I did make it through the 23 minutes and felt as if I'd accomplished sometimes. Some days I do Tai Chi Chih and always feel more centered then. <br /><br />And as the temperatures rise here--we are supposed to get up to 60 degrees F by the beginning of next week--I hope to take up walking again. For many, many years in Minnesota I walked daily in the nearby cemetery, but I've just never gotten into the swing of it again down here in Missouri. So I'm hoping that I will begin to seriously walk this spring. I don't so much care about burning calories. But I do care about keeping my body--which will be 77 in less than a month--flexible and limber. Now that was a long answer to your question!!!!
