IDIDITIDIDIT!!!***WHOOOHOOO***IDIDITIDIDITIDIDIT!!!

As you might infer from the title, I am a little excited. Today I did something I haven't done in many years. I had convinced myself I wouldn't be able to do it, and that it would never in my lifetime happen to me again.

What is this momentous occaision? Well, for our trip to the beach today, I actually wore..ahem.. a swimsuit! A real, identified, store bought swimsuit. Not the shorts and tank top I usually wear when we go to the river or the beach. I actually picked one out, bought it, and WORE it.

This is probably not a big deal for most of the American public. It is for me. Terribly big. This post explains a little more why I haven't worn a swimsuit in so long: Please Won't You Join Me in the Water?

I feel like a weight, no, like a morbidly obese elephant has been lifted from my shoulders. And guess what? No one scratched their eyes out, no one ran from the beach screaming, and I actually got very nice compliments on it. Mr. Tejano was particularly in love with it.

I saw folks at the beach who were in much worse shape than I. They were apparently comfortable in their skin and their swimsuits, and that is how I choose to be, also.

Wow- what's next for me? Climbing Mt. Everest? Skydiving out of the space shuttle? Walking a tight rope over the Grand Canyon?

Anything's possible for you and for me, my friend. ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!
