We will be celebrating Christmas with our extended family and heading out of town for our older daughter's wedding. I still can't believe I will be a mother in law. If I am as kind and sweet as my own mother in law, then it will be a good thing all the way around.
I won't be in blogland after the next couple of days until the new year, so I hope all of you have a merry, wonderful, and true Christmas and the happiest of holidays. If you know me on Facebook, you already have a preview of a story I will be working of how I found a 6 ft. blue indigo snake in our utility room behind the freezer. I will also be writing one on how a small pack of coyotes perhaps mistook me for their Christmas meal this afternoon when they pursued me while I was on a run. Rural life is never without excitement.
The winner of The Second Book of Pearl giveaway from my last post is Eva Gallant. Congratulations! If you will message me your address, you will be receiving your book very soon.
Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año Nuevo!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU! Have a nice trip!

DeleteDear Shelly,
ReplyDeleteOn June 12, 2011 you posted your first comment on my blog, writing:
<< Shady- I've just found your blog and am amazed at your encyclopedic knowledge of not just music, but good music! Thank you so much for sharing! >>
Shelly, you have been one of my best and most loyal friends ever since. Thank you for sticking with me all this time. I deeply appreciate it. I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and I'll catch up with you in 2013. Bless you, Shelly!
Shady: Wow- that's amazing that you could pinpoint that! That was the week after I started blogging, I remember. Thank you for being such a loyal and supportive friend in this blogging universe. I hope your Christmas is filled with blessings of family, fun and peace!
DeleteOK, OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! Snake? 6 ft? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! How the heck did you get it out? Oh, my gosh. And the coyotes? Made you run a little faster? There's this invention called a treadmill (that I wouldn't put in the utility room,if I were you)
ReplyDeleteFeliz Navidad!! Can't wait to see pics from your daughter's wedding, I'll be praying for her. I hope you'll show pics on Facebook?
God bless you!
Jamie: Oh, my goodness, it was my worst nightmare!!! I had to wait for the hubs to get home- chicken that I am. And since my gym is closed for the holidays, this was my first time in the field to run in several months, and so maybe they thought I was some kind of new entree. Pretty aggressive, too.
DeleteAnd yes, I hope if my daughter lets me, I will get to post pics of the wedding. As bohemian as she is, it is going to be something else! Thank you so much for the prayers and blessing!
Sounds like a lovely holiday ahead of you, Shelly. Peace to you and your family! And thank you for your warm and welcoming blog. This is a wonderful place to come to.
